The EU-funded research and innovation project TRUSTEE was presented at the prestigious European Big Data Value Forum! The European Big Data Value Forum is a major ICT event in Europe that brings together industry professionals, business developers, researchers and policy-makers from all over Europe and other regions of the world to advance policy actions, and industrial and research activities in the areas of Data and AI.
This year the event took place in Prague, Czech Republic on November 21-23, 2022 with a central theme of “At the Heart of the Ecosystem for Data and AI”. The EBDVF 2022 was organised by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), IT4Innovations (VSB – Technical University of Ostrava), Plan4all and Charles University in Prague in collaboration with the European Commission (DG CNECT). It has been granted with the Czech Republic Presidency Auspice.
TRUSTEE was presented by Dr. Emmanouil Spanakis, Project Coordinator, during the session “Lessons learnt from Data Platforms projects” that took place the second day of the event (on November 22nd). The first part of this session was dedicated on operationalising the transfer of knowledge and main assets from the Data Platform projects to the current Data Spaces Programme. The second part of the session was designed as a welcome to the new research projects in data sharing in the Common European Data Spaces (funded under Horizon Europe DATA-01-01/DATA-01-03) that have the ambitious challenge of making Europe the most successful area in the world in terms of data sharing and data re-use while respecting the legal framework relating to security and privacy preservation.
A Project Summary about TRUSTEE was presented, as well as TRUSTEE’s FAIR framework and use cases. Moreover, the project’s objectives were mentioned and the service models were explained.
